I'm not sure that I agree with that 100%. Sure, the majority of Heortlings have Vingkotling ancestory, but there were Helerings, Durevlings, and other lesser groups too. Those old groupings pretty much broke down in the Great Darkness, and the survivors really aren't one or another. Heort took this mismash and build a people from it. To say that they all have the same ancestory (Vingkotlings) is to do injustice to Orlanthi diversity.

I'm quite certain that the Helerings have some sort of Heler Clanchief (Heladar in the tradition of Helemakt?), but that the "modern Helering" clans/bloodlines most likely have adopted the Dar traditions. But then again, there is a strong chance that Dar is non-Vingkotling and comes from the Durevelings.

And I don't see why you think Heler has that mnay subcults. He was a leader who took on the combined might of the Storm Tribe, and gave it a pretty good run for its money. It is normal that (s)he has lots of subcults, even if they are a bit "fringe". I think Heler should have a *lot* more than Yinkin, for example.
