This was one of the reasons to provide the "Automatic Augmentation" mechanic that appeared in BA. The intent is to let the player decide when the AA is "good enough" and when to roll, so that he doesn't roll *every* *single* *time* (which even I find boring, Nick to the contrary not withstanding) . It's especially useful for the narrator to just guesstimate the augment his villains will have.
