If they have broadsword on their sheet then yes, I would say they can get another one before the next episode. They may have to eat humble pie with their clan chief/warband leader or whatever but they can get it without rolling dice, checking wealth or whatever. Quite simply if its on the sheet and they have some downtime then they will usually have one for the next episode, there may be exceptions ("you are exiled to the Wastes, no you can't replace your Greatsword until you sort that little problem out") but the general rule should be that hero's simply have listed equipment.

On the other hand if you happen to pick up a broadsword during an episode and do not cement it then you don't have it by the time of the next episode - you gambled it away, gave it to your clan chief/warband leader in return for past favours etc.

At least that's how I see it.

So it has some potential feat at 12 and depending on exact nature gives some augment to either the ability or the edge when used. Is there a problem with that balance-wise?
