Ah well if I wanted to use magic I'd be an Odaylan and use Longfaring Arrow with a bit of Arrow Sureshot to hit them where it hurt.

Hmm, actually the social conditions for flight archery might have existed in Old Pavis. An army highly dependent on archery, a ruling class who considered it a noble art, plenty of composite bows and the odd experimenting dwarf to come up with new designs. Could even be useful with Flaming Arrow or Arrow Strikes Spirits. Something to leave lying around a Pavic ruin to puzzle and confuse players perhaps.
