Quick rhetorical question about the limitations on a Trickster's creative powers. Suppose a Trickster has stolen enough Uralda magic to create a cow. The cow they create is a cow to other humans. Is it also a cow to, say, trolls that have a different set of senses?

Before Greg's recent posts, I would have said no, it doesn't darksense like a cow because the a human does not understand darksense. Now I think that once the Trickster has learned enough cow magic, they can create a (temporary) cow that actually is a cow.

About the only power that I can think of that might be able to detect such a "creation" in general is someting related to Time itself. A user of such a power might see that the "creation" is much more temporary than would normally be expected. Kev the Visionary might have this kind of magic.

For the specific case a powerful specialist in the power the Trickster has just (ab)used might be able to detect that something is not quite right.

BTW, just think of the horrible implications to Heortling society of a Trickster that _could_ create cows. It is possible that a Trickster with this power could gain serious social rank in their own right without being bonded to anyone. At least until they betrayed themselves ;-)

Charles
