Not really: Greg's making excuses for flaws in his game. You will note that his explanation for how to use the stats in "Anaxial's Rooster" is not printed anywhere in any of the books in the Hero Wars product line. And don't worry: that's *not* because it's blindingly obvious to everybody else.
Likewise the "clarification" that otherworld heroquests all happen in a generic mixed-up kinda Hero Plane, rather than in the mutually-heftily-penalised Four Otherworlds lavishly described in the HW Narrator's Book.
Luckily, these things can now be built into HeroQuest as the core concepts they ought to have been all along, rather than pasted on afterwards as figleaves to conceal the naughty bits of the rules.
