AFAIK while the rules are being rewritten the core mechanics are similar and it is still a 'storytelling' game. As with most 'storytelling' games the focus is, I suspect, is on systems enabling group (or at least one-on-one) play. So I doubt there is really a game-within-a-game for solo play in that respect - the power of the resolution system comes from the input of the participants and its ability to accomodate that, but I guess it is less fun if you are describing bids to yourself.

I guess you don't have the option to play on-line? Has anyone else experimented with any form of solo-play. Simple contests would presumably be more the order of the day. I suspect it might be possible to play something very King of Dragon Pass (have you seen that?) like with some-work...
