Theists use Mythology to cross to the Otherside (apart from a very few specialists). The only other major use of Mythology is for performing rituals. So Theists also have to use a different skill once they get there. I understand your issue about just spending points out of game only gets you a skill of 12.

But I think the problem boils down to how a narrator can handle the individual goals/requirements of diverse characters during a game. In our game we have this difficulty too where 1 character is a shaman and the rest are theists. And also as our characters increase in power, their quests take them to places where other characters cannot go. And do not want to go either - what place does a male Orlanth worshipper have in an Ernaldan quest apart from support?

So we have breakouts (cutaways?) where the Narrator concentrates on a subset of the group while the other players either gossip, plan their next steps or follow up inter-character issues.
