A man is trying to walk a rope over a chasm so apply a size augment penalty, as opposed to a squirrel who you might apply a size augment bonus. The augments we are dealing with are 1 and 1, maybe 2.

Yet there is a huge size difference between a squirrel and a man. Using augments of 1/10th doesnt seem significant.

Same with Pentan Cavalry vs Lunar cavalry, a few augments will make very little impact if both have high skill... but you want to have an impact... so maybe something else is needed, something stronger.
