What I like about common magic is that it really lets one customize a clan or tribe. The Cyrlings learn the Run Uphil and Downdale as a part of their keyword (unless you're a devotee of some sort, this only provides an augment). Other uses (such as Clodhopping) spring to mind readily.
While you _can_ stack lots of augments, having a single affinity is not going to let you multi-augment, even if you are a devotee with numerous relevant feats. However, several non-magical augments are perfectly okay to have.
