I seem to recall them concluding that a newsreader was the unwitting host body for the reincarnated spirit of an ancient phoenix and that they must kidnap him and kill him so that the phoenix could be reborn. They were completely mistaken, of course...

Nowadays, I'd probably have decided that the idea was cool enough to change things so that they were right after all.

The divination would have made such a good HQ extended contest. It's a great system for weird occult stuff.
