This sounds like something I'd be interested in. I've worked up a few character creation notes for a Mythic Greece campaign for another system, Risus (temporarily offline, but I can send them to anyone who'd like to see them). Risus is a very simple game, based on cliches, with some similarities to HW; I raided Homer for a few like "Breaker of Horses", "Sacker of Cities", etc., which might have some applicability to HeroQuest. I love mythology, and ancient history is an interest of mine, as well (though many people on the various Gloronthan lists are far more erudite than I).
