And the way to prevent that is simple, given the way that quest benefits work now. You get the same benefit, at whatever the new success level is now, rather than adding the benefit again. So possibly if you were only marginally succesful the first time you may want to repeat it and do it better....but then again, it could go fubar on you the second time.
I like the ability to repeat quests, because it gives the ability to show the cosmic level changes that will happen. You did the quest once early on to help save your village. later on it needs doing again, and you are much mightier, but things are *different* now, your very sacred myths seem to have changed!
