That's what I thought I'd do, too. Until I realized that there were a bunch of good talents that are available to be learned in the various homelands' common magic sections (including ILH1).

I think there need to be two seperate things. Common Magic Talents that you can learn and Innate Talents which are unaffected by concentration and can be used actively, but which may never be learned.

Or maybe they can be learned, but then they act as Common Magic Talents. That way, if you can breathe fire, maybe you can teach someone else to breathe fire, but they'll only get to use it as an augment and will lose it when they specialize.

Anyway, that's the way it works in my Glorantha. Talents that you're born with are special. Others ain't.
