IMG you retain all talents except the Common Magic Talents*, i.e. those you have learned as common magic, when concentrating on otherworld magic. That seems like the simplest solution to me, as things stand.

*Which I am inclined to prefer calling something else, that more evokes the feeling that they are spells/tricks you have learned. Hexes, perhaps.
