Taking the example of air elementals, IMO it is a good thing that there is a separate sorcerous air elemental without much personality, but I fail to see the gaming difference between a potentially hostile Vadrudi umbroli and a hard-to-control Kolati spirit wind, or a stagnant Molanni whatever-unmoving-wind and a similar effect from Mistress Calm. The spirit wind will be weakened when entering Orlanth's realm, and Orlanth's winds will be at a disadvantage in the Kolati region. Fine. Orlanth's winds might be less effective in Vadrudi territory as well.

You can tie this to the different worlds. You might as well tie this to mythic interaction, or make this an ability rather than a different world modifier. Spirit winds might just have a "hate control" rating.

On a Glorantha-Digest tangent: Does the old God Learner term "Burtae" still describe deities of mixed elemental origin, or does it really mean entities of mixed world origin? Umath for instance sired both spirits and gods.
