Actually, that strikes me as another thing that many of these rule-breaking religions have--they're specifically tied to some cosmic real estate that serves as a boundary between the Otherworlds.

The Red Moon proclaims herself the "pinnacle of the inner world", so she serves as a meeting-place for all three otherworlds, just as the mortal world does.

The Trolls are tied to the Underworld, which is (like the inner world) a place where all three outer worlds meet.

Storm Bull/Urox/Taurox lives in the Eternal Battle, which is a hole in the fabric of the universe. ("Storm Tribe" specifically says that that's why he can mix theism and animism.)

I wonder... The Sky, and the N/S/E/W edges of the mortal world, are also borders into the Otherworlds. Is it possible that the beings that live there can likewise mix and combine magics?
