Affinities and Feats at Character Generation

Many thanks for all the input on magic use and feats etc...

Here's my next question..

During character generation the player selects a specialised religion at Initiate level. When spending his 20 bonus points he allocates 3 to raise his membership level to Devotee.

How many Feats can he choose for his character?

Acquiring Devotee status during play allows you to take 3 feats. Do you also get 3 during character generation and can you spend additional bonus points to take additional Feats?
