Anyway yeah I think this has some uses, in some areas, especially magical attacks... the ensnaring roots one was a good example... an ongoing effect that the target must continue to overcome...
I dont mind the 7/-1 rule, they are scratches and cuts to me... oh dear the hero has a big cut thru his shirt and is bleeding a bit...
I think I will use both systems, nice idea....
