Exactly -- this kind of behaviour, especially where actual *magic* is concerned and not just dogma/myth knowledge, might tend to tick off some of the more conservative members of the congregation/organization.
At the very least, they probably send around little old blue-haired ladies to "chat" without about the level of your commitment to the faith...
