Usually, those "Feats" are for Affinities that the main cult already has. I've always assumed that you only got the whole affinity(feat1, feat2, feat3) thing when it was a new affinity, and I haven't noticed a counter-example yet.
So when you join this subcult, you don't get a new affinity, you only get new feats for current affinities.
