Just so you don't feel ignored....yah, that is a good question. If you can't get a "we meant it this way" from someone in the know, then I guess it comes down to the old rule of thumb "whatever seems most fun to you."

I do get the feeling that there were not that many play-testers of the Puma person rules. There are a few things that look like they would have been answered more explicitly if more players had been pawing over that write-up, like your question, the famous "is this a talent or what? What happens if you concentrate your magic" debate, and some others like, can you use any of your magic in puma shape? You couldn't cast most magics, but charms are supposed to be automatic, and the boosts from fetishes the same, so maybe those augments apply....now, can you release a spirit from a fetish when you are in puma shape, or does that count as spell casting, and so need the ability to speak and move hands? And what about a spirit ally, it could release itself while you were in puma shape, right?

All fair things to decide in your game, but they could have been touched on in the write up.
