Thanks Graeme. Most of that History I already knew (it's pretty well summarized in the Dragon Pass Gazeteer) but not the religious aspect. Because I knew they were Orlanthi who went North and then came into colonize from that side, I wasn't sure of the religious aspect. Orlanthi but not Heortling works fine. The basic structure is similar, but details changed during their long separation.

I should have realized that you don't need to excise the entire storm pantheon, just the bits that won't back down. And this level of difference explains why the Sartari didn't just immediately take in the Tarsh exiles. (Although they now have some common cause)

So if a player wants to make a Tarshite non-exile, as long as I stay away from the hardcore  Orlanth stuff, they can use bits of the Storm Pantheon and certainly the Earth Pantheon. (Or, obviously, they can go Lunar)
