Nope, this was a misread on my part. Due to the very little you get as a lay person. But you can do some tinkering with liturgist and the like without concentrating and locking yourself in. I do think that moreso than in a Pantheon, it's hard to convince the Powers that Be you should be in more than one church given the belief system. (Although multiple saints orders seem possible if you have the time to dedicate.)
