Well, it helps a lot to define brand new terms before asking people questions based upon them.

Given that the worship rite is itself an act of magic, I don't see any difference.

It's not a question of what the religion allows, it's a question of what you allow from yourself. If you concentrate on talents rather than the self-rock practice, then you can't be sacrificing etc. without breaking your concentration.
