Hi Rob,

That's a feature of HQ that throws people a lot when they first encounter it. HQ can model extreme realism, to absolute superheroics. The system doesn't model physics, it models advantage and success of conflict. Whatever that means for your game, in terms of plausibility and realism, is up to you and your group to dictate.

Since it doesn't model "what happens exactly", some people complain about the system being incapable of realistic action, when in fact, its all about the interpretation and narration of the action that determines whether its realistic or not.
