Sounds cool. Even better, you can't bid someone out of the contest. That is, they can always bid AP they don't have. If the bet comes to them, and they have to bet AP which would put them at -31 or more if they loose (with a x1 loss or transfer - or maybe with a .5 if you want to allow people to push), then they can only call, not raise - there are no greater stakes than Complete Defeat to be bid.

Make sense?

That said, while I like the idea, I don't see how it's more useful than the other suggestions for how to do multiple sided extended contests. Your method seems to be useful across all extended contests, and not pertain to multi-person ones particularly. Or am I missing something?
