The god that you are a devotee of can sponsor you to demigodhood - and possibly further, if you are good enough. It's probably an easier route, particularly since it's a specific action. Sponsored by Natha to demigodhood in the Lunar pantheon will weaken the Storm pantheon, or at least Orlanth.
