Er, Why not?
Having something of the order of a thousand people
dishing out magical support is going to give a decent
bonus to counteract any negatives he or she gets for
being remote from Pavis.
Even better - grab a small band of other worshippers
as followers, form a hero band and let the guardian do
the power transfer malarkey.
