I think the lunars have conquered or infiltrated the mythology of all the empire's subject people to some extent or other. The exact detail no doubt varies from religion to religion. But I'm pretty sure they make sure that the red goddess is somehow part of the worship in every land--both to make fighting the empire also fighting your own religion, but also to get some of the worship.

I have no idea how this is expressed in Darjinni mythology. It could be that it just shows up in myths, where it is now obvious that certain powers in the old myths were really HER. It could be a few new spirits that have been added to some of the traditions. It could be that there is a practice within the tradition that is essentially lunar (be it "from dark" or something more red and moonish). It could also be that at least some practices of the "from dark" tradition are available as "neutral helper practices" or whatever the exact phrasing is....practices that aren't part of the tradition per se, but which are available to its members.

I think I'd be inclined to go with a mixture of the mythology and the helper practice. That is, the myths show to everyone in the tradion how SHE has always been part of things, and as a bridge to lunar magic there is a practice that they can join without leaving their tradition.
