Just a couple of thoughts:
- I'm sure the Darjinni mythology explains how their spirits once
ran most of the world (just like every other culture's mythology
does). In the long run, at high enough power levels, you might be
able to "prove" through heroquesting that certain local spirits
actually do belong to the Darjinni tradition (long lost cousins, as
it were).
- Granval (did I spell that right?) is described as an independant
shamanic practice in Dragon Pass. The implication is that he is
known amongst more than one culture. Therefore his followers
probably are pretty open minded, religiously--they'll deal with
anyone who can tolerate them (I seem to recall that "certain antisocial
practices" are mandated). It is in no way like having one of
your own shamans, but if you can do your basic ceremonies, eventually
getting in touch with such a shaman might fulfill other needs for
you. And of course, if you have shamanic potential, it could even
include a path towards that for you--so long as you stay in
Kerofinnela.
