Yes!! Very important. Only add a bit, or twist it, or something.

Have a list of names ready to hand. Use them in order. Then even if you fail to take notes, you've got a pretty good idea what the name of the fifth person they met was.

And make sure those names all start with different letters. Makes for easier note-taking.

However, using them from A to Z in order can cause the players to start being sarcastic :(
