BAN it??? Geez, as if aspiring HW magicians didn't have it bad enough already...
I mean, even at 5w I'd be wary of trying for more than a +1 augmentation, because it has such an excellent chance of backfiring. Sadisitic Narrators will of course enjoy seeing spells blow up in the heroes' faces on a regular basis. But for the ones who want to see their players succeed once in a while, I would suggest awarding many more HP than the rules stipulate. :-)
