Not normally. But there are always unusual fetches around.

In Theistic Heroquesting, the bodies sort of remain behind (HQ p130). One can enter bodily into the Spirit World by stepping beyond the Shamanic Circle (Arcane Lore p50, Hero Wars Narrators Book p25).
