Hang on.

A tree wouldn't augment with its tall? Why on earth not? (It's actually an interesting interpretation, I just don't think I've encountered it before.)

(now this I think REALLY needs to go to the rules list by now, as I am opening up the endless "what resistance does magic face" debate.)
