I always had a problem with this, it strikes an off note...Affinity/Feat is something you are?

Those two words have meanings in English and "Feat" especially - well that is something done...fait in French, feito in Portuguese and so on. When people use feats, they use them as re-enactments of some act (feat) of the god in question, and I like that.

Are is passive, Do is active.

So surely, an affinity is something for which you have an affinity (makes sense to me) and a feat is some impressive act you perform? If you "are" any of that then surely it is as estar in the estar/ser split in Spanish and Portuguese - something temporary.

I dunno, this just annoys me...

Sam.
