>One thing that occurs to me about the 'everything's relative'
>approach: Doesn't that mean that the end of level boss will always be
>approximately the same, regardless of whether they're a food trollkin
>or the Crimson Bat?
Let me repeat a quote: "Your own experience as a Narrator should be granted greater weight than the following set of guidelines."
So if you think that's a good idea, then yes. I mean, you called it a boss food trollkin and put it at the end of the level...
But like Robin said a bit later, if that doesn't match world or story continuity, don't do it!
And heck, if you like writing down numbers, you can probably do it for your campaign. I wasn't able to do it for my campaign, and I know I can't do it for yours.
But don't write them down too far in advance, or they will be wrong.
>Lancelot just becomes 'Knight. Known for particularly shiny armour.'
Really? Not "Best knight in all of Britain?"
At the risk of beating a dead horse, the problem is when you write "Best knight in all of Britain 10W3" and then a player manages to end up at 10W4.
