The Man rune makes you more Manly, like the Old Spice guy.
Just kidding. It's an important rune in Gloranthan cosmology, but I wouldn't want a player to have it unless they told me exactly what they had in mind. Same with Magic -- they're both too generic to be interesting. Generally, I'd say take runes which have associated personality traits.
