Hi,
The website requires an account but does not take credit card details. All credit card handling is done by PayPal as we are not set up to secure details of credit cards.
The reason that we require an account is that we have to have a place to store your shipping address (if ordering hard copy) or to store the links to your downloads (if ordering electronic copy). More details for those who are interestedNow you can argue, and several people have, that there are better ways to do this, so that customers can place orders to without the hassle of creating an account.  However, when we ask them to give practical advice on how to achieve this, we have never received an answer.
I am the technical/website adviser to Moon Design. Here is what I know:     * I am a volunteer.
    * I know a Content Management Framework called Drupal <http://drupal.org>  that allows a webstore and much more functionality.

    * Drupal is free to download/install/run.
    * Drupal runs on cheap webhosting providers.
    * Drupal allows payments via PayPal.
    * Paypal allows Moon Design to keep over 90% of the cover price.
    * Other payment processors take much higher percentages for small
vendors.
    * Moon Design is a tiny vendor, that does not even qualify as small.     * Distributors take much, much more of the cover price. Please do make suggestions on how to improve. However please keep in mind the constraints that I have laid out above. regards,Charles

copies of Sartar Compendium and the Pavis book. Apparently I need an account on their website which I'm pretty sure I didn't need a couple of years (er, just checked, was back when I bought the core rules and the first Sartar book. Having 18 accounts on various commercial websites and trying to remove a few I'm a bit loathe to pick up any more. Does anyone know somewhere (preferably online, but I'll take 'phone ordering if I have to) I can grab some dead tree books without having to create yet another account on yet another website? Something using paypal would be ideal as they've already got my address, bank details et. al...
