But the might of a shamen's fetch DOES come within himself.
The fetch is NOT reliant on any external forces. It is a part of him. A rather special part at that! That's the way of such things.

I don't really agree with that. Its a measure of power and ablity. Having it linked to the highest ability is a reasonable way to guage this.
