Hey, I quoted no obscure sources, was brief and straight to the point, and my insult was far too lowbrow.

Providing you don't want consistency in published material, consistency with translations, stupid arguments etc. Lightning sword, admittedly, is not that big a problem - a fast sword and an electrical sword are much the same. But when it comes to, for example, whether every Orlanth Adventurous type gets Teleport or not under the confusing nom de guerre of Sunset Leap, thats a pretty huge variation between different game worlds, and one that could all be solved with a word or two - not to mention a source of Glorantha/HW list arguments until the end of time.

So, how about my interpretation of Rally Troops to mean moving fast on roads? Sure, its silly - but this is a reductio absurdum argument - either you think the words should be twisted arbitrarily, or you think the feats should have an actual intended meaning.

And sure, all you really need to play is consistency in your group - and in your Glorantha the Red Emperor can wear spandex pants and have a Dwarf made electric guitar, and that can be part of a genuinely great game if all your players are fine with it - but if we are trying to have an actual product line we need some consistency.
