Well, bronze age has repeatedly been stated to be the general technological and cultural level of Glorantha. I think that is still the aim, although I agree that early iron age is more suitable to how things have been presented, especially in non-chaosium/Issaries products.

Sadly, I think, the westerners have all too often been presented as mock-medieval. It has struck me as inconsistant with most of them being utterly conservative and with a rigid social structure. Who invents a new plough, the downtrodden farmer, the knight who never does manual labour, or the wizard whose task is to see that noone leaves the ordained path?

One of the first attractions of Glorantha or me was that it was not the same watered down generic anachronistic fantasy mishmash that is generally the case.

But I am getting in to deep here. If anyone wants to continue this discussion I suggest we take it over to the Glorantha Digest. I have certainly left the rules area, sorry ;-)
