No doubt the Orlathi Triceratops riders counter-charge first. I then would not want to be one of the poor rhino riders. Alternately, a line of tree-sized stakes in the ground would break up the charge nicely. Remember, the rider may be dumb enough to charge a line of pointy things, but few riding animals (except dinos, I imagine) are dumb enough to press it home.
Also, I am sure that there is a myth about suckering enemy cavalry to charge a shield wall, the members of which all suddenly fly up and attack the charging troups from behind. It may have started as Solars, but I imagine that it has been tried on others, perhaps as long ago as the Dawn Council's Humakti invasion of Prax in the first couple decades ST.
