On the other hand there is every reason to take the published Glorantha as the default and while there almost certainly are "bad" Humakti they are likely to have poorer relations with the cult and their God as a result. Anyway if you want to be a Berserker why not play an Uroxi instead ? (In RQ2 Storm Bull gave the Berserker spell while Humakt gave the Morale spell which did not include the negative effects of Fanaticism).

In short there are good reasons to think that a good Humakti does not routinely go berserk. Assuming the usual view of Humakt, that is.

Further, as I understand "Death Song" it usually means that the singer is *expecting* to die. Following that interpretation a Humakti who berserks against an easily-defeated opponent is going to be ridiculed by other Humakti (and probably by the worshippers of other warrior deities, too).
