Rituals and Community Participation

One interesting new thing about rituals did come up at Convulsion. Greg suggested that it is entirely reasonable to approach each group separately for support for a particular part of the quest. My family, will you totally support me on all of the quest? (Carryover) My Humakti brothers and sisters, will you support my Close Combat (Sword and Shield)? My Clan, will you support my Bargaining? Etc. etc.. The Community Participation Chart is looked up for each group individually.

So the only case where the second column of the Chart is used is when the PC is unaware of politics in a particular group. For example, his brother is unhappy with all of the attention he is getting and quietly convinces the rest of his siblings to only give luke-warm support. This actually gives better MGF (Maximum Game Fun) as the PC will only find out when he tries to use the boosted skill that it is not as good as he would have expected.

regards,
Charles
