And if you ask Greg "What is the one true way that Shamanism works in the real world", you won't get a straight answer, because there are no straight answers. The same applies to Glorathan magic - you're never going to get an explanation of What Is Really Happening. You might get more Gloranthan description of what things Orlanthi do with their magic, which may give a clearer context to the affinities, and help explain what the feats do, though.

Part of the problem is that you and I can never understand what it's like to shoot lightning bolts out of your fingers.
