Add in the magic items. Some of them give a mastery shift... Plus
the followers and the like. Trust me, its quite powerful.
Especially
when you consider that some of them have magic in the w2 range, which
is very expensive to get to for a PC hero.
Others give some rather obnoxious edges. Its a high power game
that's
been going on for a few years now.
