Well, he should have said "Any Feat..." rather than Affinity, but the augment '*' has gone now (are you using an older draft?), and any feat can be used any way you like. There are some, notably the Enchants, which are definitely different to other feats, and I'd say at least THOSE should have been noted.

Well, as no feat is now augment only, there are loads (possibly the majority) of affinities which are composed entirely of feats which COULD be used as augments.
