The Alynx should use it's strengths - augment with, say, Cunning. Augments solve most of these problems (and why would an Alynx WANT to take on a snake anyway?).

Yup, Rubblerunners are nasty. Armodillos with Crocodile heads...

They fight inefficiently, and give up when a couple have been knocked out. Anyway, first you complain they're too tough, now they're not tough enough ? :)

It augments Strong with Large most of the time. Or uses Large and augments with Strong.

Don't get me wrong, I think Anaxial was written for a lower-level version of HW too (horses are still far too damn slow), but it can be made to work.
