In the real world a housecat will deal with an adder quite handily. A lynx kills larger snakes if there's any need. A shadowcat should be able to kill all sorts of vermin, for fun, if nothing else.

Howcome we are seeing pit vipers in Dragon Pass these days anyway. Isn't it supposed to be celtic/scandinavian landscape. What's with the americanisms?

Pooh, it's just a rat deluxe, and the Shadowcat will kill them like a cat kills mice (or small rats).

No, I complain that the cat is not tough enough :) there's a difference.

Where do we end up, somewhat over 1w2? So Kallyr the tribal champion will still be stronger.

Of course it can. I just think the values (in Narrator's book, no AR yet) are sloppy work and should be redeemed in the errata.
